More About Our Work…

The Morgane Oger Foundation is a small volunteer-driven organization entirely run and funded by people who care about justice and inclusion, like you. We focus on opportunities to reduce prejudice-driven inequality in Canada a few projects at a time and pride ourselves with a 100% success rate to date. We are working on several initiatives where we feel we can best help change things for the better..

Initiative : set legal precedent for the explicit protection of gender identity or expression

The Morgane Oger Foundation’s first project will be to support litigation that will definitively confirm the protection from discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression.

This campaign will ensure that, once and for all, transgender, gender diverse and Two-Spirit folks as well as others affected by stigma related to gender will be free from the erasure and the harm caused by the rejection of the idea that being transgender is a legitimate part of human diversity.

This will take away the barriers constantly put in the way of transgender and non-binary people, preventing them from living their lives to the fullest.

initiative : equitable Delivery of publicly-funded healthcare

There have been complaints made over the years that certain publicly-funded medical services for which the expertise is widely available might be inequitably available depending on who the care providers are in an area.

The Morgane Oger Foundation is working on an initiative to bring pressure to the publicly-funded healthcare sector of Canada to ensure that all provincially- or federally- funded healthcare procedures are actually being offered to the population free of discrimination.

initiative: mapping out growth of hate-related incidents with CApe

Hate-based violence is growing in Canada and the Morgane Oger Foundation is building Canadian Atlas of Populist Extremism (CAPE) to help map it.

CAPE is a crowdfunded relationship mapping tool that will tie together groups and people regularly associated with them and map them to incidents involving hate accross Canada.

The Morgane Oger Foundation is looking for volunteers to help put together the Canadian Atlas of Populist Extremists (CAPE). The tool will help keep track of relationships between hate groups in our country… Interested people should sign up by clicking the button below.
